This 5,700 sq. ft. mountain modern home was built on a challenging lot. The design solution was to place the home against the angling north setback line and to take advantage of angled spaces in the garage, mudroom, and the main bedroom suite.  Because of the steepness of the lot, the garage and the front entry are located a half level above the main level of the house. The main stair was then placed between the house and the garage, creating a light-filled, dramatic space.

 

The main floor of the house contains the great room, a covered deck, a powder room, a pantry, and the main bedroom suite. There is a spectacular aspen grove located at the north end of the house. The main bedroom suite takes advantage of the view into this amazing stand of aspens. A half level down, below the garage and mudroom, is located an office and the gym.

 

On the lower level, there is a guest main suite, a guest bedroom suite, a bunkroom, a spa bath, and a large entertainment room. The entertainment room contains a large seating area focused on 5 televisions, a full bar, a wine wall, and a poker table. The highlight of the room is the golf simulator. There is a large patio of the backside of the house, accessible through a large stack of sliding doors. Located on the patio is a large sunken hot tub. Combined with the entertainment room, this makes the lower level perfect for entertaining.

 

The exterior of the home is clad in warm colored wood siding, black metal claddin,g and a beautiful Montana sandstone. Together with the black metal standing seam roof, this house is a wonderful mountain contemporary home.
